Privacy Gate Project – Privacy, But Not Too Much Privacy
In between existing brick columns, this customer’s vision was for a gate that did not look like a point of entry, but with an entry large enough for a vehicle to pass through and it must include some glass elements. With a backyard pool in play, privacy was a priority, but not completely enclosed like Fort Knox; still allowing for a view and breezes to flow.
The design dilemma was real. This is where the value of a Dream Ironwork design consultation is revealed; right on the spot; with one of our experts on-site. Utilizing frosted, acid-edged glass as the jumping off point, our craftsman painted the picture of what he saw for the solution during the design consultation, articulated in a way that his customer could translate and sign off on the entire design concept. The biggest design stretch was coming up with a way to hold the glass without showing how it was secured, no clips or fasteners in plain view; as though it was suspended between the iron surround.
The end result? The customer was thrilled and invited Dream Ironwork back to do the other side of the property. The look was loved so much, they even removed landscaping to make way for this artful and functional design feature to extend into phase two of beautifying the property!
