Scaling Heights: The Iron Staircase Odyssey From Dream To Rooftop Reality
This was a case where the design dream was bigger than the budget. What seemed like just an easy staircase from the deck to the rooftop of this homeowner’s backyard oasis, turned into a much more convoluted web of possibilities and budget-busting dreams.
Right from our first glance on site, the dream staircase was cost prohibitive. After understanding more of the vision, we could see the solution on the spot. Not only was budget a big consideration, the form and function also screamed for a space saving solution. Then, to pass code, the team had to get savvy with design, making diameter specs and safety handrails all while keeping the look intact. And if that wasn’t enough, on install day a crane was required to lift this beauty over the roof of the house, right from the street over and dropped carefully and strategically into the homeowner’s backyard!
The Dream Ironwork team have been here before, making this look easy, swiftly erecting this massive steel structure in under two hours! The end result…One very satisfied customer climbing right to the top to enjoy her new view.
